A COMMUNITY
of Philanthropists

A collaborative fund made of up of philanthropists passionate about backing the best small and medium-sized charities addressing social inequality in the UK.

OUR

Community

Our community is driven by the lack of meritocracy in the charity sector. There is no correlation between capital flowing into the sector and funding ending up either where it is needed most or with the charities that are best placed to make use of it.

We believe that we have identified 23 of the best mainly small-to medium-sized UK charities and that all partners in our portfolio are punching above their weight. By building a collective philanthropic fund we aim to help other current or potential philanthropists avoid the labour intensive process of research and evaluation.

We work with a select group of philanthropists who have partnered with The Considered Ask to invest in our charity portfolio, either as a whole or by funding specific charities.

The Considered Ask’s overheads are covered by a generous initial donation, meaning that 100% of all donations go directly to the charities. We provide all due diligence, performance monitoring and evaluation to donors without charge.

We are looking for like-minded current or potential funders who are passionate about reducing social inequality in the UK and are committed to building a more meritocratic landscape for the charities that address this.
